Vijay Mallya-India liquor baron-after acquiring Tipu Sultan’s sword, has now saved the nation’s honour by buying Mahatma Gandhi’s memorabilia in an auction in New York.
Meanwhile, media tried to sensationalise this matter by saying that Mahatma Gandhi, a teetotaler, would have never appreciated that his articles are possessed by a liquor baron.
But before making such statement media should think that among hundreds of millionaire in India ,only Vijaya Mallaya took an initiative to buy bapu's worldly possession. Instead of criticising him we should respect his feelings and deeds.
And according to me, alcohol consumption can not be a measurement of greatness or insignificance, it depends upon thoughts, ideals and activities.
